DIY|Mesh Panel Drawstring Bag

Picture5

I’ve been lusting over the drawstring bags from Cotton On (these) for the longest time and if not for the fact that EVERYBODY has it, I would have bought one ages ago. Inspired by the recent boom of the sports luxe trend, I decided to add a twist to the conventional drawstring bag by adding some sporty-looking mesh panels.

Supplies:

A meter of sturdy fabric of your choice – I chose denim

3-4 meters of cord

Eyelets aka Grommets

Half a meter of mesh

I bought all my materials at Daiso, other than the mesh which was purchased at Chinatown’s fabric market. Thus the whole bag only cost me around $8!!

{This tutorial will be mostly pictorial with few words. Hopefully it’ll be easier to follow!}

Here are the pattern pieces that you will need to cut out:

Once you’re done cutting, set aside everything and focus on the main body piece.

Hope this tutorial was easy to follow despite the lack of words! After all, a picture speaks a thousand words 😉
